My Take
Every G20 country now has a sovereign compute program, which means "where your model was trained" is about to become a compliance question, not a technical one. For multinationals, this fragments the AI supply chain the same way GDPR fragmented the data stack — and the companies that treated data residency as a checkbox in 2018 are the ones still cleaning up architectural debt today.
