Claude Mythos Preview Arrives on AWS Bedrock
What Happened
AWS's Monday Weekly Roundup confirmed Claude Mythos Preview is live on Bedrock as a gated offering, alongside the new AWS Agent Registry. Access is restricted to members of Anthropic's Project Glasswing consortium, which includes Apple, Google, JPMorgan Chase, the Linux Foundation, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Palo Alto Networks. It will not be publicly available.
My Take
The "consortium only" framing is being praised as responsible, but note what it actually does: it gives the largest incumbents a privileged patch window before anyone else learns the vulnerabilities exist. Small vendors and open source projects will get bug reports last, when attackers already have them. The pattern to watch is whether insurance carriers start requiring Glasswing membership for cyber coverage — if they do, the consortium becomes a compliance moat, not a safety one. Expect an antitrust inquiry by Q4.
