Trending on X: Google launches Gemini Spark, a 24/7 agentic assistant with its own Gmail address

At Google I/O 2026, Google unveiled Gemini Spark, an agentic personal assistant built on Gemini 3.5 and the Antigravity harness. Users can email Spark at a dedicated Gmail address; the agent then navigates the web via Chrome, executes tasks, and reports back. Google also opened Managed Agents in the Gemini API and previewed WebMCP, an open standard for browser agent tools.

The "give your agent an email address" framing is the real shift here, not the model. Email is the universal API humans already use — once your agent has an inbox, every coworker, vendor, and form on the web can address it without integration work. That collapses the agentic-UX problem Google has been losing on. The losers aren't OpenAI or Anthropic; they're every SaaS tool whose moat was being the place you forward things to.
