My Take
Killing the AGI clause is the tell. Either both sides quietly concluded that AGI is not the bright-line moment they once underwrote, or the term had become a liability nobody wanted to litigate. For business buyers, this is unambiguous good news: vendor lock-in just loosened, and OpenAI workloads are now genuinely portable. The era of "pick a foundation model lab and marry your cloud" is over. Multi-cloud AI is now the default, not the hedge.
